Extra Credit |
Extra Credit points may be earned for the following:
-maximum 20 points per quarter-
- Private lesson study: 20 points per quarter for regular weekly lessons. Turn in a extra credit summary form at the end of each quarter to receive this extra credit. Click here for more information on lessons and instructors.
- Participation in Outside Music Activity: 20 pts. for full participation. Examples are Outreach Band, Arizona Jazz Academy, Jazz Werx, Youth Drumming Classes, Drum Line, Mariachi, etc. Ask Mr. H if a specific activity is worth extra credit. Turn in an extra credit summary form to receive full credit.
- Attending Musical Performances: 10 points per concert. Points are given when the student turns in the concert program stapled to a written performance review. The concert must be an instrumental performance (not vocal) at any level higher than middle school. Attend a local high school band concert. Go to the UA for a band, orchestra, or jazz band concert (not just a football game). Attend a Tucson Symphony Orchestra performance, Centennial Hall event, etc...

Specific performances at the following venues are eligible for extra credit. Just ask Mr. H!
